Subject: Inaugural Nicholson 31 Association Meet, Gosport 16-18 September 2005

"To say that I am sorry not to be with you all at the inaugural Nicholson 31 meet at Gosport is an understatement.  I wish it could be otherwise.

Jeremy Lines will be able to answer all your questions concerning the details and development of the 31.  If he is unable to do so, then I do not think there is one.  How one man can store so much information is truly amazing.

I look forward to reading a report on the meet in the next Newsletter.  I also look forward to reading further accounts of Member's cruises, not necessarily of the "round the world on one wave" variety but the out of the ordinary poking about ones.  Where a small boat like the 31 can find unexplored waters and secret anchorages.

My very best wishes to you all for the remainder of the 2005 season."

The Forum should, hopefully, now be an 'ad-free' experience. With less clutter accompanying posts it might be easier to use.  Please let me know how you get on and whether you would like any other sections added.

We have great pleasure in announcing that Raymond Wall has accepted the Associations invitation to be our Honorary President. Raymond is now retired, but during his distinguished career as a yacht designer he designed some superb cruising boats.

Whilst at Camper & Nicholsons Raymond was responsible for all GRP yacht design and this included the transom sterned Nicholson 31. We are indeed fortunate that 28 years after the launch of the Nic 31 we have been able to launch our Association, with Raymond,  who played such a pivotal role in the conception of the Nic 31, as our Honorary President.
